Description

This course fulfills students’ Financial Literacy credit requirement. It focuses on reviewing and applying arithmetic skills utilized at home and in business. Students learn how to budget, spend, invest, and make every day financial decisions. Topics include budgeting, computing income and property taxes, investing in the stock market, finding interest rates, analyzing statistics, and balancing financial accounts.
This course is offered as a single semester or as a full year course combined with Consumer Math and Life Skills.

Course projects provide the student with the opportunity to demonstrate mastery of real life applications.
