This full year course explores the basis of life, and brings the student into the lesson with highly interactive courseware.
Each unit in Life Science uses a central theme to teach Life Science concept, thus providing learners with a cohesive and connected learning experience. The course begins with an overview of scientific inquiry, and subsequent units explore the cellular and chemical bases of life, classification and diversity of life, and genetics. Ecology units discuss the food chain, preservation of planet resources, and interdependence. Human health units discuss organ systems, their structures and processes; disease and medicine; injury and healing; stages of life.
Multimedia enhancements, video lessons, 3D models, virtual dissection, and interactive tutorials engage all types of learners.
